North Captiva Island Family Portrait
North Captiva Island is located to the west of Pine Island and of course just north of Captiva Island. The only way to reach North Captiva Island is with a water taxi. For over twenty years I have photographed weddings and family photo sessions on North Captiva. I love traveling to the island, it is a small adventure in addition to the joy of my work as a photographer in Florida. Once you arrive to North Captiva, all the traveling throughout the island is by golf cart. There are golf carts everywhere, kids might be driving the carts while parents and grandparents are supervising their skills.
Some of the pictures displayed on my North Captiva Island Photographer page show the Gordon family when three generations met at Thanksgiving Holiday and stayed the week at a resort home on the island. I arrived by a water taxi called Island Girl Charters. They are located on Pine Island and have a great schedule for getting on and off North Captiva Island.
Fun Family Portrait Session
I arrived in the afternoon and was met by the Gordon family who were in three golf carts waiting at Barnacle Phil’s Island Restaurant. We traveled along the dirt road with one golf cart following the other. I was able to choose the best locations for pictures and we would stop along the way for the interesting backgrounds. Eventually we arrived to resort home which was perfectly located on the Gulf of Mexico. The beach faced westerly for the sunset hour that was quickly approaching. After the beach photos it was near dinner time for the children so they drove me back to the public dock where I waited for my return water taxi ride. Shown here are some of my favorite images we captured.
