This was a fun Sanibel family photo session late in the day in early January. Ok, the weather was not great, but the fun and energy the Hopkins family had made up for the lack of sunshine. The main picture was to be the grandparents and their children, spouses and grandchildren. So we started with the cute and adorable brother and sister. They were very cooperative and hugged each other with great smiles! Then we brought the parents in for a close family photo. I began to photograph the second family. The older boys were cool and made for a good and casual Sanibel family photo session as their parents also came into the photo. I sat the grandparents down on the wild grass growing just under the Sanibel Island Lighthouse and gathered the grandkids for that photo. The parents came into the photo and made the group complete. We walked around the driftwood at the Lighthouse and found a few other settings that worked well. The children continued to enjoy this casual Sanibel family photo session and I think it shows in the photos we made!
Sanibel family photo session on the beach.
For over twenty years I have photographed family photo sessions on the beaches of Sanibel Island. My goal is to make a fun setting so the pictures are joyful. The Hopkins family were great to photograph. Given the cloudy overcast, I think the images turned out just great showing some personalities and fun being together during the winter months on this vacation island. Here is more information on my Sanibel family portrait sessions. Shown here are some of my favorites photographs we created at this Sanibel family photo session.
