Frank Simonetti, Professional photographer
My father and uncle were both professional photographers and I grew up in the warm glow of bright lights and happy people. There was travel and glamor-my Aunt Chloe recalls the day when they photographed young Martin Luther King, Jr. and Miss Coretta Scott, before they were married. I would spend my summer vacations going to the studio with my Dad and I sold my first photograph which was published in the weekly Suburban Press and Recorder when I was 12 years old. It was of the annual fishing derby in my hometown of Medfield.
The pictures were wonderful. We so appreciate your professionalism and infectious enthusiasm that you bring to your work…Warm regards, Patty and Dan
I didn’t choose to be a photographer. Photography chose me, I couldn’t imagine wanting to do anything else when I grew up. I studied photography at the Art Institute of Boston and went on to work as a news photographer for several Boston-area newspapers. It was interesting work, but it wasn’t what I wanted-I missed the joy that I found in wedding and portrait photography.
I moved to the Fort Myers area in South Florida so I could live year-round in a place that most people only get to visit for destination weddings or vacations. I’m doing what I love best-capturing the love and joy in precious family moments.
Over the last 20+ years, I’ve photographed destination weddings and portraits for thousands of happy clients on the beaches of Sanibel Island and Marco Island. I’ve traveled through Florida-and beyond-to shoot weddings and portraits at many prestigious sites, including the Vizcaya Museum in Miami, Don Cesars’ in St. Petersburg, Casa Ybel Resort, Marco Beach Ocean Resort, South Seas Island Resort and Tween Waters Inn on Captiva Island and most recently Moscow. That’s a bit farther than I’ve traveled for most sessions, but I’m willing to go the extra mile!
Frank, You did such an amazing job photographing our wedding and capturing every special moment… Jamie and Jacob
