We all met at Patricia Slater’s secluded beach for this intimate wedding ceremony. I had no idea we would be considering that a ‘bird photobombs Sanibel wedding”. Some pictures were taken before we arrived to the beach for this lovely couple from PA. It was a pleasant day with some clouds and a nice air temperature for later December. The beach was mostly deserted when Patricia began the intimate wedding ceremony for Marcie and Brad. Patricia is a wedding officiate performing weddings on Sanibel and Captiva Island for over thirty years.
Bird photobombs Sanibel wedding
After some beach photographs, we started the ceremony as usual. Nothing was different, waves softly crashed onto the shore as Patricia spoke the marriage ceremony for Marcie and Brad. Suddenly a bird landed in the water behind the ceremony site and made a loud splash. The bird then walked onto the beach right between Patricia and the wedding couple. It stopped and looked to the left, it looked to the right and then shook the water off it’s feathers. This bird wasn’t going away and had no fear! So after the initial surprise for us all, we all knew this bird was here for the ceremony and we continued the wedding. When Marcie and Brad picked up shells and sand for their wedding sand ceremony, the bird watched. When Marcie and Brad kissed while picking up shells, the bird simply watched. So we continued with sunset photographs and a champagne toast. After we left the beach we traveled to the Chapel by the Sea for a nice Christmas photo with Marcie and Brad. The Chapel by the Sea has a great holiday light display every year. Shown here are my favorite photographs of Marcie and Brad’s wedding with of the bird photobombs Sanibel wedding.
Beautiful bridal bouquet made from seashells
Another great photo shoot at Marcie and Brad’s wedding was the bridal bouquet. It was made only from seashells!
