Jordan called me just ten days before she and Jerry planned to arrive to Captiva Island. They needed a photographer for their Captiva beach elopement. Their plan was to fly in from Oregon for a few days and get married on Captiva Island. Jordan told me the details for the elopement. We then worked a time schedule to capture the best pictures.

Captiva Wedding Venue
Jordan and Jerry chose to stay at the South Seas Island Resort. This spacious resort takes up the north end of Captiva Island. There are a few restaurants, many swimming pools in the smaller communities, and a lot of beachfronts. Outside of the resort is ‘downtown’ Captiva. Yes, there is a four way stop at this intersection which has many more people walking than there are cars. Oh, on Andy Rosse Lane, you can rent golf carts, jet skis and shop at the small food market. So Jordan and Jerry arrived to their Captiva wedding venue in their golf cart!

Sunset wedding on Captiva
Of course, with a beach elopement on Captiva Island, there is no rush to ‘get to the church on time”. So, when I saw Jordan and Jerry arrive on their golf cart, we started pictures while the sun was still bright. Then we walked to the beach ceremony location. The four minute walk through the natural landscape had great backdrops for pictures of this eloping couple. We paused for a few pictures using all the attractive backdrops we could find. The complete elopement from start to finish was just one hour. After the sunset, this lovely couple drove off in their golf cart to enjoy dinner at one of the restaurants on the resort.
