Couple enjoy their Captiva Island Elopement!
Elijah and Cynthia arrived for their intimate wedding on Saturday morning. They drove from just south of Tampa where they are high school teachers. With holiday vacations, they had just two weeks to plan and enjoy their Captiva Island elopement with the assistance of Patricia Slater, Weddings by the Sea. We met at the Chapel by the Sea on Captiva Island for some photographs then Reverend George officiated at the beach ceremony. The Chapel by the Sea was beautifully lit with Christmas lights and that provided some nice photographs after sunset. Cynthia had a beautiful bouquet of bridal flowers for the wedding and they brought a bottle of champagne with them. After the ceremony, they enjoyed a celebration toast to each other. I enjoyed photographing them as the sun set and created a great colorful backdrop for photographs. We made silhouette photos with the toast glasses catching the beautiful last moments of light during this Captiva Island elopement.
Captiva Island Elopements
Elijah and Cynthia called a week ago to Patricia Slater for some ideas for their intimate wedding. Patricia Slater has over thirty years of experience providing Captiva Island elopements and destination weddings. So it was settled, Reverend George was to officiate and they needed photographs, so that’s where I came in. We met at the parking lot of the Chapel by the Sea and began photographs before the ceremony. The elopement ceremony was timed perfectly for sunset. What we didn’t expect was a large sailboat anchored one hundred feet offshore which made for a great nautical backdrop. So after sunset photographs, Elijah and Cynthia went for a celebration dinner. Shown here are some of my favorite images we created of this Captiva Island elopement. Read more… Captiva Island Photographer
