Casa Ybel destination wedding
What a day this was-emotional, happy and fun. Chrystal and Tom had their Casa Ybel destination wedding at the Casa Ybel Resort on the white sand beach of Sanibel Island. It was a beautiful day with a blue sky for a Sanibel Island beach wedding ceremony followed by a great sunset. Suzi Freeman performed the ceremony. There was ‘a lighting of the lanterns’ ceremony where the guests walked to the water’s edge to float memorial lanterns for the brides’ mother. It was a nice display of balloons rising to the sky. We then walked back to the ceremony for the ring exchange and the pronouncement of husband and wife. The ceremony ended with a kiss, then the staff at Casa Ybel Resort served champagne for a toast presented by the father of the groom. After the toast, the bride and groom danced to Stevie Wonder, “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” then we started with a few family photographs. Then the bride and groom took off their sandals and walked into the light surf with their friends.
Certainly, since they all came from Boston for their Sanibel Island destination wedding, it was a joy to be on the beach! The day could not have been more gorgeous and the color of the soft waves were just enough for some interesting pictures as the wedding couple walked into sunset for photographs. Chrystal and Tom are obviously made for each other-the images we created showed their love and enjoyment of each other. They were an extremely kind and thoughtful couple and the wedding was just beautiful. The guests stayed on the beach while we made sunset wedding photographs of the bride and groom. I saw some of the guests picking up shells, it is well known that Sanibel Island has great shelling! Sunset was enjoyed by the bride and groom and friends, then all walked on the Thistle Lodge Restaurant for a celebration dinner. Here are some of my favorite images we created of this Casa Ybel destination wedding. Chrystal and Tom, thank you for inviting me to photograph your wedding!
Hi Chrystal and Tom, thank you for your kind words…..
