Yannick and Shannon marry on Captiva Island!
It was close to sunset and the afternoon storms were near for this destination beach wedding in July. Shannon and Yannick arrived from Georgia with their children, Shannon’s sister and Yannick’s aunt and uncle. We met at their beach home at the South Seas Island Resort an hour prior to sunset but quickly hurried to the beach to begin their destination beach wedding ceremony before the rain storms to the east arrived. The ceremony was performed by Patricia Slater of Weddings by the Sea. Nicolas was the ring bearer and Nevaeh was the flower girl. After the ceremony we continued taking photos on the beach while the kids ran and picked up sea shells on this beautiful barrier island. The bride had a wonderful gown for the beach and she photographed magnificently with it.
Destination beach wedding on Captiva
The beautiful flowers were designed by The Flower Shop of the Islands and worked very well with the wedding photography for this exuberant couple! After the ceremony, we watched as the nearby pending storm slid to the south of us! 🙂 We missed the storm but it certainly provided some great, soft light for the beach photography! The bridal party went for a celebration dinner in the evening. Shown here are some of my favorite photographs we created at this destination beach wedding on Captiva Island.
