by Valerie and Ed arrive from NYC for their Casa Ybel Thistle Lodge wedding!
Valerie and Ed planned their destination wedding with the assistance of Patricia Slater, Weddings by the Sea for over one year. On Friday, the bride and groom hosted a welcome party for the guests and family. On the wedding day, friends and family attended the garden ceremony at the Casa Ybel Thistle Lodge resort. The three children of Valerie and Ed all had important roles in this destination beach wedding. Dylan was the best man, while Kate served as maid of honor and Chris escorted his mother down the aisle. Kate and Chris also performed music during the ceremony. Kate provided guitar background while Chris sang. It was a nice day, mostly cloudy which kept the temperature very pleasant for this July weekend. The officiants were close friends of the bride and groom.
Thistle Lodge Weddings
After the ceremony the guests walked to the patio at the Thistle Lodge for cocktails. The bridal couple and their children walked just a short distance for some beach wedding photography. They then joined the guests for the cocktail hour. We created some additional fun family photographs during the cocktail hour. The celebration/reception was in the Waterfront Room at Thistle Lodge.
Weddings at Casa Ybel
On Sunday morning, the guests and family enjoyed brunch on the Lady Chadwick for a few hours as they toured the outer Captiva and Sanibel Islands. The bride and groom honeymooned on Useppa Island. Shown here are some of my favorite images that we captured for this Casa Ybel Thistle Lodge wedding.
