Elopement Venues Photographer

Getting married? Consider a Fort Myers Elopement! For over twenty-five years I have photographed elopements on the beaches of Fort Myers, Captiva and Sanibel Islands. There are a variety of locations available, each with its own uniqueness. For example, Fort Myers Beach is the fun and active location. This small island is just 30 minutes from the RSW airport.

Fort Myers Beach is known as the party location for all of Southwest Florida. You will find fun pubs with live music that are just feet away from the beautiful surf. Ok, before you plan your elopement, consider a surprise engagement on Sanibel Island.

Marco Island Elopement

My favorite beach on Marco Island is the South Beach. This is because there is public parking located near the beach entrance. Along the way to the beach, there are a variety of backgrounds that make great photos of the couple. Certainly, the beach faces west so if you are planning a sunset ceremony, this adds to great photos. After your elopement ceremony, it is a quick walk or drive to very nice restaurants for your celebration dinner.

On the other hand, maybe you are looking at the differences between an elopement and a typical wedding reception? So, you can visit this Fort Myers wedding photography page for more details on what venues are available. There are many locations and ideas for weddings in Fort Myers, Sanibel and Captiva Islands.

Sanibel Island Elopement

Visitors know that Sanibel Island has it’s own special uniqueness. The island is well known by collectors of sea shells. A two mile causeway connects you to the island from Fort Myers. The bridge crosses over the Caloosahatchee river with a great view of the island. For instance, if you look to the left, you will see the Sanibel Lighthouse that has been operating since the late 1800s. In addition and for your convenience, the island has two grocery stores. Once you are on the island, you find a nice variety restaurants.

Some couples just want to enjoy quiet time with each other. Therefore, you might choose a Captiva Island elopement. This island is north of Sanibel Island and can easily be reached by car. Once you are on Captiva, the island does not have any traffic lights, just a blinking yellow light in ‘Downtown Captiva’. So, no need to worry, this small-town intersection has just a four way stop sign and a few enjoyable outdoor and indoor restaurants. For example, you can travel down the short road called Andy Rosse Lane and find casual restaurants and the beach.

Naples Beach Elopements

For a Naples beach wedding, the beach faces west for classic sunset wedding photography after your elopement ceremony. I do have a few additional favorite elopement locations where I have photographed many weddings. After you enjoy the elopement photos below, I will discuss the other locations. Here is a great wedding officiant for Naples and Marco Island elopements and weddings. Here is picture post of a recent Elopement at LaPlaya Resort.

They are Engaged!

Elopers can choose from many cozy cottages for their island visit. In addition, there are magnificent private beach homes for your elopement. Now, you might wonder why I write about magnificent beach homes. Because I checked the dictionary, and it shows an elopement can be up to 12 people!

Ok, so now you need an officiant. Here is the Sanibel Island wedding officiant that has performed beach wedding for over 35 years. Patricia Slater owns and operates Weddings by the Sea on Sanibel Island. Therefore, as a Sanibel resident, she has knowledge and permission to use secluded beaches that tourists and vacationers are excluded from. For instance, after your beach ceremony, she will direct you to a great and local restaurant. For more information, here is a link to her website.

Patricia has access to florists and restaurants for your celebration dinner. With her many years of experience, she can easily provide details for getting a Florida Marriage License.
