Fun high school senior pictures on Sanibel
Josie arrived to Sanibel Island with her family recently. The parents were guests at a destination wedding on Sanibel. Josie’s Mom asked about high school senior pictures a few months before her friends wedding which I photographed later in the week after the senior pictures we made. We met around 4pm hoping for a great sunset. Well, it was the day after one of our ‘cold fronts’ so the sky was not working well for the sunset images we hoped for. We started the pictures around the green landscaped area of this Sanibel Island Resort. Josie’s family helped during the shoot, helping with backgrounds, hair checks and change of clothes. Although the sunset was not going to happen, I was really impressed with the gentle light we had. It was medium overcast with a lot of gray, but it all worked out well. Josie had some ideas of what she was looking for in her high school senior pictures. I saw Josie’s parents later that week at the wedding and gave them a digital view of the images. The photographs here are not retouched with Photoshop, I dislike the ‘plastic face’ look of such enhancements. With the available light late in this cloudy day, we were able to make these high school senior pictures of Josie.
