Kelly and Jake’s Lexington Country Club wedding
I first photographed Jake and Kelly last year at their surprise engagement on a Fort Myers area beach. Jake called me to plan an engagement photo session where he proposed marriage to Kelly. A year later they were enjoying this beautiful Saturday afternoon at their Lexington Country Club wedding. Friends and family joined this exciting couple for the ceremony and reception which followed into the evening. I arrived a few hours before the ceremony for getting ready photos with Kelly and her twelve bridesmaids. They had a spacious meeting room in the Lexington Country Clubhouse for makeup and dressing.
After some getting ready photos, the next few pictures were of a first look for Kelly’s dad and then a first look for Jake. The green landscaping behind the clubhouse was just perfect for pictures. The bride and groom’s family then joined us for group photographs before the ceremony. Cindy is the Events Manager at the Lexington Clubhouse, her staff did a great job in preparing the ceremony site and dining room.
We were still an hour before ceremony time so the bridal wedding party, yes all twenty two of them arrived near one of the beautiful lakes at Lexington Country Club for pictures. I worked quickly with this high energy group so we could get Kelly back for hair and makeup freshening after two hours of photography.
Wedding Ceremony at Lexington Country Club
A friend of the bride’s family performed the ceremony on the golf course. Guests were seated overlooking a beautiful lake surrounded by palm trees and the golf course greens. The stunning bridal bouquet and ceremony flowers were created by Helen of JH Designs in Fort Myers. After the ceremony the wedding couple joyfully walked down the aisle with the guests following them into the cocktail hour at the Lexington Country Club Lounge. The bride and groom’s parents made a few warm and fun toasts before dinner. Kelly and Jake had their first dance, they were quickly joined by friends and family on the dance floor. Jeff of Inspired Events provided the music that kept all the guests up and on the dance floor. Shown here are some of my favorite images we created at this Lexington Country Club wedding.
Are you planning a Fort Myers wedding?
The Lexington Country Club is a great venue for a wedding of any size. The ready room for the bridal party was serviced by the very attentive service staff from the Lexington Country Club lounge. The dining room can accommodate over two hundred wedding guests. I found this golf community a wonderful location to the Southwest International Airport in Fort Myers and the landscaping provided tropical backgrounds for romantic wedding photography.
