Family reunion on Marco Island
The Palombo family gathered for their Marco Island family reunion on the Christmas Holiday week. They came from the Northeast and Midwest for their reunion. The children ranged from age 6 months to 12. The parents were well prepared with drinks and snacks for the kids. The plan was to photograph each of the individual families and then one great big group photo. We started at their condominium where there was a nice green area with great landscaping. Each of the families had a quick and fun picture taken. Then we had grandchildren pose with their grandparents. For a few of the photos, the kids were allowed to act like kids especially when they saw their grandparents kiss 🙂
Marco Island Family Portraits
For over twenty years I have photographed family reunions on Marco Island. The beaches provide a great, wide area of white sand and blue/green water as a backdrop. So we all walked to the shoreline to continue the photo session. Each family was photographed again walking and playing in the surf. Occasionally the children would take a break and just have fun picking up shells and digging in the soft sand. We began the portrait session late in the afternoon so sunset was certainly in our pictures list. The light was getting softer and the grandparents just had fun playing with the grandchildren. Since it was a holiday week, the beach was very busy. We used the Resident’s Beach since the Palombo’s have a condominium on the island. For the best pictures, we walked a little distance from the entrance so our backgrounds would be a clear of tourists as possible. Shown here are my favorite images we captured of this family reunion on Marco Island. If you would like to reserve me to photograph your family portrait, visit my Marco Island Photography page.
