Marco Beach Ocean Resort
This was a beautiful Marco beach wedding for Lauren and Shane. They were joined by family and friends for their destination Marco Island wedding. After Lauren and her friends returned from the Spa, we were ready for photography to begin with the ‘first look’. We chose the Garden Terrace at the Marco Beach Ocean Resort for this photograph. Lauren was so beautiful inside and out. Her make-up and hair was excellent and photographed perfectly.
The Garden Terrace is on the fifth floor of the Resort and overlooks the ocean. While on the nicely landscaped Terrace we continued with family photographs before the beach ceremony. The ceremony began at 7pm with family friend, Daniel Weber officiating the ceremony. The refreshing afternoon rains were on the horizon to the east so we hurried to make a group picture while the sky had blue color with soft while clouds. The guests returned to the Terrace for cocktails while more beach photographs were taken. Shane and Lauren photographed beautifully together as they walked along the beach. They had a natural and loving look with each other for all the photographs I captured at their Marco Island wedding. Galina is the coordinator for the Marco Beach Ocean Resort, she kept all events nicely on schedule for this joyful Marco Island wedding.
Marco Island Wedding
For over twenty years I have photographed Marco Island weddings on the beach. When I saw the clouds coming from the east I knew we had limited time before the summer showers began. We finished our photo session on the beach and walked to the Terrace where the guests were enjoying their time together. We captured a picture at the gate to the boardwalk and the rain began as Shane and Lauren were walking quickly up the stairs to the Terrace. As I felt a few rain drops, I turned around to see Lauren covering her photo perfect hair style and make-up (created by Dani of Duality Artistry) with her flowers–my favorite photograph! Lauren then leaned over to kiss her new husband with the beautifully designed bouquet of flowers (created by Marco Island Florist) still protecting her head. The guests were then given the sparklers for the bride and groom’s entrance to the main Terrace.
The sunset was amazing! The sun broke through and reflected off of the rain clouds to create wonderful colors. The sunset colors reflected on the ceramic tiles throughout the Terrace dining room for the wedding guests to enjoy. The wedding party continued with celebration toasts and dinner as nightfall arrived. After dinner all the guests retreated to the Ballroom for the first dance and deserts with assorted teas and coffee. Shown here are my favorite images we captured at Lauren and Shane’s Marco Island wedding.
