Fort Myers Wedding at Outrigger Beach Resort

Markus and Alexandra called me from Germany a year ago to photograph their wedding. The couple have been vacationing for many years at the Outrigger Beach Resort. It was a perfect choice for their destination wedding. Alexandra and Markus were joined by family and friends from Europe for their intimate wedding. The ceremony site was nicely decorated and overlooked the Gulf of Mexico. Janet Courtney of Beach Weddings Made Simple performed the ceremony and prepared the ceremony site. Markus did not see Alexandra before the ceremony for a first look, because in Germany it is customary to first see each at the ceremony. Alexandra was in her room overlooking the beach with her mom and hairstylist. Markus was with his friends at the pool bar. After the ceremony a quick storm approached so we waited for all to clear and continued taking pictures with the stunning grey skies.

Wedding on Fort Myers Beach

The Outrigger Beach Resort is on the south end of Fort Myers Beach. The beach is nicely covered with white sand with a perfect view of the sunset. This quiet area is not densely populated with tourists. Yet it is just a few miles from ‘Times Square” the popular center area of Fort Myers Beach. Miss Jillian is the Events Manager at the Outrigger Resort and made sure that everything flowed smoothly. After sunset, Markus and Alexandra walked across Estero Boulevard to Charley’s Boat House.
