Knowledge and Dana arrived from Wisconsin for their Pink Shell wedding. They were joined by family and friends for this destination wedding on Fort Myers Beach. We started with getting ready photos and a first look in a beautiful room overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. The bridal party joined us as we walked to the colorful lobby at Pink Shell Resort which was great for pictures. The ceremony was scheduled for 4:15pm and it was officiated by a friend of Dana and Knowledge. The weather for this November wedding was great, with a partly sunny sky and a gentle breeze coming from the ocean. After the ceremony, we took some family photos and bridal party photos with the Gulf of Mexico as a backdrop. The DJ played soft music while the guests enjoyed taking pictures in the beautiful pool deck area. Since the Pink Shell Resort faces west on Fort Myers beach, the sunset was terrific for this beach wedding!
Pink Shell Weddings
Miss Doni is the wedding director at the Pink Shell Resort. While sunset photos were taken, Doni’s staff served cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. After walking around and making pictures on the natural beach settings, the bride and groom had time to be with their wedding guests before dinner was served. The Pink Shell is located on the north end of Fort Myers Beach. Fishing boats can be seen exiting the bay area as they go out for the day. The pool at Pink Shell Resort is amazing and keeps children busy. The hotel rooms are bright and have huge floor to ceiling windows looking out to the water. Pink Shell is a fun place for a beach wedding. Within walking distance is ‘Times Square’, the center of the island. Also just a minutes walk north is Bowditch Pointe, a county park.
