Captiva Island Wedding
Olivia and Matthew reserved the Tween Waters Inn for their destination wedding on Captiva Island. They arrived from Massachusetts and chose to stay in one of the historic cottages located along the beach on Captiva. Tween Waters Inn is located near the end of Captiva situated between the Gulf of Mexico and the back bay waters of Fort Myers. The resort offers boating, fishing and other fun activities in their beach bar and restaurants.
Intimate Island Wedding
July 3rd at sunset was chosen by Olivia and Matthew for their Captiva Island beach wedding ceremony. I arrived early so we can organize a ‘first look’. Matthew hadn’t seen Olivia’s gown yet, so we looked for a great background at Tween Waters Resort for the pictures. Finding great looking areas for pictures at Tween Waters is easy. The property has colorful and historic cottages along with nice green landscaping and natural growing flowers all around the resort. So, as we were waiting for Olivia to arrive, Matthew took some flowers off of a tree. He then took a palm frond and wrapped the flowers together by tying the palm around the base of the flowers! Then Olivia arrived, a picture speak a ‘thousand words’ so please take a look.
We all walked to the north beach where Reverend Steele was waiting and prepared for the ceremony. In summer time, Captiva Island weddings are sometimes affected by the daily rains. On this day we were fortunate that the rains were inland and the storm clouds without rain traveled to the north of their beach wedding. However, after sunset pictures, a torrential rain began! Matthew and Olivia were already in the Captiva House Restaurant for the their celebration dinner. Shown here are some of my favorite images we captured of this beautiful Captiva Island wedding.
