Tween Waters Captiva Wedding

Anna and Charles were looking for a lovely beach resort with character for their wedding location. Their research took them to the historic Tween Waters Inn on Captiva Island. This beachside inn has colorful cottages named after artists and poets who joyfully stayed at Tween Waters over the past 100 years. Anna called me for a one hour small photo package to include pictures of her ceremony and the sunset on this beautiful beach which faces perfectly west. Kayla from the Tween Waters Inn wedding department helped Anna as the wedding coordinator.  She provided the best ceremony time and some recommendations for a wedding official. They chose Pastor George from the Chapel by the Sea on Captiva Island.

I have created wedding photography at the Tween Waters Inn for over twenty years. It’s a perfect destination wedding location on Captiva Island with cozy cottages, boat rentals, fishing expeditions and several restaurants on property. Imagine, taking wedding pictures on the ocean and being minutes away from the back bay. Just a quick walk through the Tween Waters Inn Resort and we are on the bayside with sailboats and fishing boats preparing for adventure.  I arrived early to walk around and choose the best areas for pre-ceremony photographs.

“First Look” at Tween Waters Inn wedding

A ‘first-look’ wedding photo was requested so Charles stood with his back to us as Anna arrived and tapped him on the shoulder. His reaction was perfect for the first photos of this wedding photography session. Anna and Charles were now ready to get married. We met Pastor George on the beach and chose the best area for the ceremony. Tween Waters Inn has a great and spacious beach shoreline so the ceremony was secluded.

After the ceremony we created some pictures of Anna’s mom and dad while the champagne was being prepared. The wedding couple enjoyed some time before the sunset, which was a ‘top twenty’ that I have seen. When the colors lessened, we all said goodbye and the wedding party walked to the Old Captiva Restaurant, which is popular for a Tween Waters Captiva wedding. This restaurant is well known on the islands with an experienced Chef and a relaxed atmosphere. Shown here are some of my favorite images we created. Visit my Captiva Photography page for more information on this charming island and cozy Tween Waters Inn Resort.
