Sanibel Island wedding ceremony

Jasmine and Michael planned their fun Sanibel Island wedding ceremony for nearly two years! May 1 was a beautiful day for a wedding on Sanibel beach. I arrived to the Coquina Sands Condominiums which is located just a boardwalk away from the beach ceremony site.  The bride was getting ready in one condo and just a door away the groom was getting ready. Each had their family and friends helping with preparations. I started with some photos of Jasmine and then Michael. The groom then walked to the beach with his parents and grandmother. On the beach, family and friends were gathering and listening to the music of Ron Rutz, DJ on Sanibel Island. The stereo sound was great even with the wind blowing from the ocean. Stacey, the owner and wedding planner from Isabella’s Island Style Weddings and Events. Stacey designed the décor for the this Sanibel Island wedding ceremony and was now preparing for the arrival of the bride. When Stacey arrived, Michael had his back turned. As Stacey was just twenty steps away from the Chuppah, Michael turned around and there was wonderful emotions displayed. After the ceremony we took pictures of the whole wedding group and families. The wedding guests were then escorted to transportation to the Traditions Restaurant just a few miles away. There they enjoyed cocktails and Hors d’ Oeuvres before dinner.

Sanibel Beach Weddings

For over twenty years I have photographed brides and grooms who chose to marry at a Sanibel Island wedding ceremony. So Jasmine and Michael planned a trolley ride to the Lighthouse with their wedding party. We all boarded the trolley driven by Gene, whom we all said, thoroughly enjoys driving happy people around Sanibel! But first the idea was to stop at the Lazy Flamingo, a well known local restaurant. After a few minutes they put down their half empty frozen mugs of Sam Adams on the table and ran again for the trolley. Once we were at the Lighthouse, we quickly took some photographs and boarded the trolley again to enjoy the wedding reception at Traditions Restaurant. Upon arrival, celebration toasts were offered by friends and family and then all were seated for dinner. Andreas the owner of Traditions Restaurant and his staff brought the first course to the guests. At sunset I went outside with Jasmine and Michael for pictures. When we returned Jasmine and Michael had their first dance and cut the wedding cake for the guests to enjoy with desert. Shown here are some of my favorite images we captured on this Sanibel Island wedding ceremony.
