Carol and Howard marry at Thistle Lodge beach wedding!
Carol and Howard arrived from the east coast of Florida for their Thistle Lodge beach wedding. They were together with family and friends on this beautiful Saturday afternoon wedding on Sanibel Island. I met the bride and her attendants as they were having makeup and hair done. We took a few photos then while they were dressing I photographed the groom and his attendants. At 6pm everyone was ready to walk down the ‘aisle’ at the Thistle Lodge Wedding Lawn as it overlooks the Gulf of Mexico. Steve Farst provided some nice music for Carol’s entry, escorted by her brother—(the single one) 🙂 The wedding ceremony was performed by Pastor Funk. The Thistle Lodge beach wedding staff directed by Lea provided lemonade and water for the guests on this warm afternoon in September. After the ceremony, all the guests were gathered for a group photograph. The guests then went upstairs to the Waterfront Room where they enjoyed cocktails. The bridal party walked to the beach for pictures blue skies and white clouds forming over Fort Myers Beach. Carol and Howard were then introduced for the first time as husband and wife by Steve Farst and everyone enjoyed a celebration dinner. We then had a cake ceremony and afterwards there was dancing until after 11pm. It was obvious the friends and family had much affection for Carol and Howard, it was shown in the many toasts that were presented and it showed in the way they all connected with each other…it was certainly fun to photograph this fun group of friends and family! Shown here are some of my favorite photographs we created for this Thistle Lodge beach wedding.
