Fifteen years Married!
Jason and Cari arrived to Sanibel Island for their fifteenth wedding anniversary. This was their fourth trip to Sanibel Island over the years. Their favorite place to stay is at Song of the Sea. Their two children stayed home in Minnesota with their Aunt. We started with photographs at the Thistle Lodge Restaurant. The love and respect Jason and Cari have for each other was so obvious in the photographs and the way they connected. Here is a little event that occurred…they arrived and realized they left the brides’ flowers back at Song of the Sea. So they looked at each other calmly and jointly decided that Jason would drive back to Song of the Sea while I make some photos of Cari. We then drove to a secluded beach where Patricia Slater of Weddings by the Sea performed a nice vow renewal ceremony. The weather this day was beautiful, the light was special as the sun was setting. After the ceremony Jason and Cari walked the beach and after sunset they arrived to the Thistle Lodge Restaurant for a celebration dinner. Shown here are some of my favorite photographs we made of the vow renewal ceremony….
Vow Renewal on Sanibel Island
For over twenty years I have photographed vow renewals on Sanibel Island. The ceremonies sometimes include family. When family members are included, I shoot images as if it were a family portrait session. Many times it is a quiet vow renewal ceremony with just the couple. When it is just the couple, I enjoy creating a photo session as if it were a wedding.
