South Seas Island Resort
This year we met just an hour before sunset at the South Seas Island Resort where Jonathan and Liz vacation with their children. There was a cold front arriving from the north, so the fog was heavy and the air was cool. I had some worry if we would finish the family photo session as the clouds became heavier. I avoided the beach since the visibility was just one hundred feet. We started pictures of the children near the entrance of South Seas Island Resort. After just a few minutes, I saw how the children were so terrific with their attitudes and posing. It was then that I realized the typical sunny and blue sky was not necessary for this family photo session. This was going to be a great family portrait session! I have photographed Jonathan and Liz…well since they were married over 15 years ago. Actually I photographed Jonathan when he was a golf pro at the South Seas Island Resort in the late 90s. I climbed into the bucket of a electric repair truck and was elevated 50 feet over the golf course.
So we just walked around the resort and found some interesting backdrops for the family photos. I have photographed at South Seas Island Resort for over twenty years, so I was familiar with the best backdrops for this foggy and cool day. We took the traditional family photos and then the kids just did whatever they wanted 🙂 see photos 🙂 Shown with the hat below is Molly, you can see the first photograph (little girl holding daisies) I made of her taken some years ago on my contact page.
Shown here are my favorite photographs that we captured of this fun and joyful family photo session at the South Seas Island Resort.
