Westin Cape Coral Resort wedding

The Westin Resort in Cape Coral was the location for Erica and Steven’s intimate Saturday noon wedding in August. They were joined by family and friends and their 2 year old son, Owen. This Westin Resort hotel is located at Marina Village in Cape Coral. The property is beautifully landscaped with a full service marina surrounded by a few restaurants and shops. We started the photo session with pictures of Erica. The circular staircase in the hotel lobby made a pleasant backdrop for this first wedding photograph. Steven arrived and Owen was happy to see his Dad, so we continued with pictures in the lobby that overlooks the garden lawn.

Owen’s grandparents took care of him while we had the ‘first look’ photograph. Steven sat in the lower level of the garden where it overlooks the harbor. Erica then walked down the stairs and tapped her soon to be husband on the shoulder…we captured the look! I then took pictures of the couple in the Rotunda, it had a warm glow of light from the tile and paint colors. It made for an interesting color change from the daylight. I have been photographing weddings in Cape Coral and Fort Myers for over twenty years, this Westin Resort garden has the look of the Amalfi Coast! I was fascinated as I captured this photograph of Erica and Steven walking along this beautiful hotel property!

Cape Coral Weddings

After some additional pre-ceremony photographs, we were ready for the ceremony under the tall Queen Palms. Dr. Dan Lamey performed the ceremony. Take a look at the cute picture of Owen picking up the rose petals. The petals were dropped ahead of Erica and her dad as they walked down the garden path.

The wedding couple were declared husband and wife by Dr. Dan. After some congratulatory hugs, everyone enjoyed a champagne toast prepared by the Westin Cape Coral Resort staff. We another twenty minutes to take family photographs. The Westin Cape Coral Resort provided a relaxed and peaceful cocktail hour. I saw smiles and fun as the guests and family viewed the harbor and boats with champagne glasses in their hands. Erica and Steven then prepared for a boat ride in the harbor with Erica’s dad as the captain. When they returned, they joined their wedding party for a celebration dinner at the Westin Resort Restaurant. Shown here area some of my favorite images we created.
