With over 25 years as a family photographer in Fort Myers Beach, Sanibel and Captiva Islands, I know that families are unique. So, I am prepared to photograph little children who just woke up from a nap, teenagers who would rather throw a football than sit in front of a camera and children who enjoy searching and picking up the unique seashells on the beaches. Usually, it takes 20 minutes or so for families with children to feel comfortable in front of the camera. This is why I do not make 'mini sessions' for family photo sessions. If you have any ideas, I am happy to listen and blend your ideas into the family photo session.

Instead of telling toddlers to "say cheese" of 50 repetitions, I prompt them to hunt for shark teeth and coquina shells. We capture real eyes and unforced laughter.
